Ivy Style
The Ivy Look began in 1954 with the formation of the Football Federation by eight American schools . Each school was named Ivy League because the ivy growing thickly on the brick school building was a symbol. It is said that the fashion that they liked to wear was named Ivy Look in 1955 by the International Association of Clothing Designers.

The Ivy style, which reached its peak here in the late 1950s, has captivated young people not only in the United States but around the world. In Japan, a crew centered on Kensuke Ishizu, the founder of VAN, actively introduces it using publication media such as magazines and photo books. In the early 1960s, a Japanese ivy-style group called the “Miyuki-zoku” appeared.
