What is "Red Ear"?
When we talk about jeans, we often hear the term akamimi, often with ears. This red ear is called selvedge (Selvedge (UK), Selvage (US)) in English, and is a treatment that prevents the edges of the fabric from fraying.
In the past, denim fabric was woven on a loom called a power loom, so the width of the fabric was as narrow as 27 inches, and the edge of the fabric was used as the side line for jeans. The edge of the denim fabric is called selvedge, and the red line is woven into the "red ear".
It has been aspired by jeans enthusiasts as jeans of the good old days, and has been produced again as a reprint. Please wear it so that you can roll it up and see the cell bitch.
