The M-65 parka is a 1965 type extreme cold field parka that was adopted by the US Ground Forces in the late 1960s. It is the successor model of the M-51 Parker, commonly known as the "mods coat". One of the features that represent the M-65 Parker is the fishtail. This is why it is commonly called the fishtail parka.
