Description
タンカースジャケットとは、戦車兵のための冬用ユニフォームとしてアメリカで開発されたミリタリージャケット。
フィールドジャケットとしてはシンプルな見た目で、しかも保温性が高いため、第二次世界大戦中はレンジャー部隊などの歩兵に支給された他、航空隊のフライトジャケットとしても用いられていたという。
ちなみに「タンカース(TANKERS)」の由来となっている「TANK」とは戦車を意味している。
―DESIGN＆SILHOUETTE―
タンクジャケットのデザインを復刻したこちらのアイテムはしっかりディテールを踏襲します。
襟、袖、裾の3カ所にあしらうことで遮風性を高めているので、冷たい風で体温が奪われるのをしっかりと防げるというワケ。
スラッシュポケットとジッパー付き、腕の立体的な刺繍腕章以外に余計な装飾されなく、テキパキとしたミリタリースタイルを復元するように。
―FABRIC―
肉厚なコットン素材のヘビーウエポンの表地と相まって、着た瞬間から温かな着心地を味わえる。また、生地自体の防風性も高いので熱が逃げにくく、暖かさが持続する。
裏地にフリースを使用し、ソフトな生地感は洗い込むにつれて独特の風合いを出す、包み込むような柔らかな肌触り。
