アメリカでプライムタイムに人気だったソープオペラ『Peyton Place』の主人公、ロドニー・ハリントンがこのタイプのブルゾンを着用していたことに端を発しています。日本でも高倉健が着用し、世界で本質を知る著名人が愛用していたことでも有名。

「G9」ならではのディテールは踏襲しつつ、当時と同様のゆったりめのクラシックフィットを採用。ドッグイヤーカラーやラグランスリーブ、リブ編みの袖＆裾などスポーティなディテールが特徴。アンブレラカットと呼ばれる後ろ身頃のヨークは、傘のようなカッティングになっており雨滴をスムーズに流すように考えられた。可動域の大きいゴルフのスイングをするのにも最適なデザインだった。
裏地には、「G9」の象徴であるタータンチェックを、落ち着きあるマルチカラーにチェンジ、統一感と特別感のあるデザインに仕上がっている。

表地は裏地と同じく、ポリエステル素材で作られて、柔らかくしなやかな質感を持ちながら、重くならず首への負担を軽減する。長時間の着用でも快適さを保つ。
